Abe Heifets is a software engineer and has worked at IBM for four years. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Cornell University. Over the course of his career, he has worked on a world champion robotic soccer team, a publish-subscribe system for location-based services, and single-agent search algorithms. He currently works on high-performance processing of the XML stack and will be starting a PhD at the University of Toronto in computational biology. In his spare time, Abe is an Appalachian Trail section hiker.
