Adam Stefanile is a Teacher of Science and Art39, Brooklyn, New YorkWell educated and highly experienced, New York City resident and science teacher Adam Stefanile contributes his talents both professionally and philanthropically. Affiliated with the Brooklyn arm of The Salvation Army, he has served his community as a volunteer science tutor for over a year and a half. Although his more than 10 years of teaching experience fall mainly in the scientific realm, Adam Stefanile has also developed a deep appreciation of art. Through frequent travels, including those to Rome and other parts of Italy, he has gained a firm knowledge of Roman and Renaissance architecture and art history. He maintains an active interest in teaching these subjects, as well. Adam Stefanile additionally possesses experience in education administration. From 2009 to 2011, he held the positions of Head of the Science Department and Science Teacher with The Smith School in Manhattan. Often heralded as New York City’s best private alternative school, The Smith School provides a number of educational programs and services. Among these are full-day, offsite, individual, and summer programs, as well as individual instruction, counseling, and support. Prior to this role, Adam Stefanile spent five years as a private tutor. Helping college students understand various aspects of the biological sciences, including physiology and anatomy, he also taught pneumonic techniques and genetics. As a teacher of biology and earth science, Adam Stefanile instructed students at two Jersey City-area high schools, Lincoln and Henry Snyder. His lessons in laboratory techniques, combined with hands-on experimentations, imparted his love of these subjects to his classes. Adam Stefanile began his educational career with the dual positions of Test Coordinator and College Assistant Teacher. In the latter role, he contributed his knowledge in the subjects of geography and physical science to students at New Jersey City University.
