The Morris K. Udall Scholarship is a federal scholarship granted to U.S. college sophomores and juniors for demonstrated commitment to careers in the environment, health care or tribal public policy, leadership potential, and academic achievement. Congress created the the Morris K. Udall Foundation in 1992 and the first scholarships were awarded in 1996 as a living memorial to the former Congressman, Chairman of the House Resources Committee, and one-time candidate for President of the United States.
