  • The Different Types of Security for Specific Events, A.J. Melino
    September, 2010
If you have a big event on the horizon or need help maintaining in-house safety and ethics standards, you can benefit from hiring security professionals. As the founder of A.J. Melino & Associates, A.J. Melino has more than two decades of experience providing different types of security that fit the need of any given condition. A.J. Melino met with us to educate prospective clients on different types of security, as well as which types best fit various circumstances.

    Event Security:

This security is commonly needed for large and lavish functions such as collegiate or professional sporting events, music affairs such as award ceremonies and concerts, parties hosted or attended by celebrities, televised events, national meetings, and more. When preparing for such an event, make sure your security team is adept at overseeing such large-scale happenings and making sure processes such as guest check-ins, bag checks, and surveillance proceed as planned.

    Talent Wrangling:

Big-name talents such as actors, musicians, athletes, and other performers typically require security during an event. From before the event begins until a predetermined time following its confusion, the talent will need expertly trained escorts as he or she travels to the function, during the event itself, and following its conclusion as the talent returns to their quarters.

    Corporate Security:

The larger the company, the more security services it requires in order to function smoothly and profitably. A good security firm will be able to provide corporate clients with 24-hour surveillance equipment, as well as the means to eliminate internal theft and avert corporate fraud. Some security companies also provide undercover services to solve illicit activities.

    Security Consulting:

Often, a company that provides specialized services calls for specific requirements for security. A.J. Melino & Associates works with clients to tailor security to what they need.

    Background Checks:

With the current state of the economy, more people than ever before will be applying to a wide range of services. Background checks allow employers to make sure the individuals they bring on board meet the required qualifications and are devoid of past difficulties that may reflect poorly on your business and on you. We offer extensive background check services to our clients.
