In addition to his success as a hedge fund director, Alberto Franco also plays tennis competitively. He was a member of the Peruvian Davis Cup team, and he also played with the varsity team at Yale University, his alma mater. Mr. Franco continues to support the Yale University Tennis Committee.

Alberto Franco has made a name for himself as an expert in Latin American and emerging markets. Mr. Franco led the Emerging Markets Division at Bankers Trust, organizing the activities of over 250 finance professionals and developing strategies for the Latin American market. Through his activities, Mr. Franco generated over $1 billion in profits for Bankers Trust and became the youngest partner in the firm’s history.

In 2006, Alberto Franco joined Quantek Frontier in order to launch its emerging market division, the Frontier LatAM Multi-Strategy fund. Mr. Franco focused half of the fund’s resources on arbitrage opportunities created by inefficiencies in the Latin American market and the other half on long-term economic forecasts for the region. Starting with seed funding from RMF Investment Group, Alberto Franco grew the fund into one of the most successful emerging markets investments of the period, garnering over 28 consecutive months of positive returns.
