American Film Institute Conservatory graduate Alexandra Kerry has gained considerable recognition in the entertainment industry.San Francisco, CaliforniaWith a passion for creating visual narratives, Alexandra Kerry has established herself as a leading artist of the film and television industry. From documentary films to reality television shows, Kerry excels in providing guidance, creativity, and vision through her work as a producer and director. Proficient in all aspects of the filmmaking process, including development, production, and distribution, Alexandra Kerry has headed nearly a dozen relevant projects. In 2004, Kerry’s short film The Last Full Measure premiered at the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival in the south of France. Upon its appearances in the United States, the movie earned Alexandra Kerry the American Film Institute’s (AFI) Director of the Year Award, as well as the title of Best Production Design at the Los Angeles Film Festival. The Last Full Measure also made its way into holdings at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Four years after her debut success, Alexandra Kerry co-produced Be Like Others, a feature film documenting the lives of transsexual men and women in Iran. As part of the team behind this award-winning motion picture, Kerry helped expose the truth about homosexual rejection in the Middle East, as well as the measures taken to avoid such ostracism. In addition to her work behind the camera, Alexandra Kerry began an acting career in 2000, landing a role alongside several acclaimed actors in David Mamet’s State and Main. In 2003, Kerry starred in seven episodes of NBC’s Mister Sterling, and the following year she accepted a role in the action film, Spartan, as well as two cameos on the sequel series Tanner on Tanner, a comedy about a struggling filmmaker and daughter of a presidential candidate. A film enthusiast, Alexandra Kerry attended the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles, where she earned a Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence Award and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing.
