Alissa Sears is the Global Betterment Activities Director at Christie Communications (www.christiecomm.com), a full service public relations and marketing agency dedicated to serving ethical companies internationally and a pioneer in the field of utilizing their Organic Marketing methodology to promote ethical businesss worldwide, further develop standards for ethical entrepreneurship, and business ethics.

To advance their social mission even further, Alissa and Gillian Christie (Founder & CEO) pioneered Christie Communications’ Global Betterment Sector, the establishment of CC’s entrepreneurial development wing, and most recently, the Christie CommUnity Foundation. Through these activities, Christie Communications continues to expand its social, environmental, and philosophical impact through innovative, solution-oriented programs engaging companies internationally to address domestic and international issues of health & nutrition, human rights, access to clean drinking water, the facilitation of local industries & entrepreneurial development, promotion and preservation of environmental resources, and educational development programs.

We have recently developed and launched the Village Reforestation & Advancement Initiative with our project partners Aid Stil Required and our incredible teams of experts on the ground to curb desertification with community-based, organic agricultural solutions. This is a community-based initiative that addresses desertification through building replicable models that restore arable land, promote women’s empowerment, and create vibrant local economies.
