Presently, Allen S. Levy runs a private practice as a psychoanalyst and clinical social worker in Westport, Connecticut.
Allen S. Levy serves as a Staff Psychotherapist for Temenos Institute, Inc., located in Westport, Connecticut. Simultaneously, Dr. Levy maintains a private practice as a certified Modern Psychoanalyst and Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, he is a supervising faculty member of The Center for Group Studies, located in New York. Previously, he served as Vice President of the Center’s Executive Council and Director of Accreditation and Continuing Education. Before founding his practice Allen S. Levy was the President of the SEVA Foundation. While supporting The Center for Group Studies for over two decades, Allen S. Levy taught at a variety of institutions. In the past, he served as the director of a research project at Long Island University-Rockland Campus, as an adjunct professor at Union Institute, and as a faculty member of Rockland Community College. Allen S. Levy successfully completed more than 10 years of academic scholarship, commencing with the completion of his Bachelor’s degree from New College of Florida. His undergraduate studies in psychology led him to pursue a career in Modern Psychoanalysis; he became a nationally certified Modern Psychoanalyst after completing a professional training program from the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis in 1986. Amidst his certification, Allen S. Levy completed a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Psychoanalysis from the Union Institute. Allen S. Levy is a licensed social worker in Connecticut. As a seasoned Modern Psychoanalyst, Allen S. Levy guest lectures throughout the country, including Pearl River High School, the School for Ecological and Vocational Arts, and the Whole Life Expo. Allen S. Levy is also the author of “An Exploration into the Psychoanalytic Treatment of Meditating Patients,” which was published by University Microfilms International.
