Allison Gabriel is a first year Ph.D student at the University of Akron pursuing her degree in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Having graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2004, she has worked under Dr. Alicia Grandey and currently Dr. Jim Diefendorff. Her research interests are still juvenile in nature, but include emotional labor, emotional regulation techniques, power and solidarity differences in the workplace, and work-life balance. Allison plans on entering the field of academia upon completion of her degree.
