Known for her dedication to excellence, Alma Dewberry is an asset to any company she works for. As the resident insurance agent, licensed in the State of Georgia, she has received many awards for her work in this field which include 2 President’s Club Awards for Aflac and First Data TeleCheck, the All Star Award for Aflac and Account Executive of the year in 2006. Her awards alone are an example of her commitment to her work and her experience in the field which includes positions with Veracity Payment Solutions, First Data Corporation and Humana Insurance.

Educated at the Georgia State University, Alma Dewberry currently holds a position with Aflac in Atlanta. Her roles and responsibilities within the company range from working with benefits managers to dealing with clients and employees. She regularly discusses insurance policies with benefits managers in order to assist them when they are attempting to include them in benefit packages. Alma also discusses policies with clients and helps employees learn about the latest developments and trends within the insurance industry so that they might be able to fulfill their own duties in the best possible manner.

When it comes to community work, Alma takes her role just as seriously. Not only has she volunteered for the Walk for the Cure, which was led by St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in 2010 but she also makes regular donations to a variety of charities that are close to her heart. She donates food to Hosea Feed the Hungry and makes regular donations to St. Jude’s Partner in Hope Program as well as the American Red Cross. She is an avid supporter of the fight against cancer especially for children who are suffering from the illness. When she is not supporting a worthy cause or reaching new heights in her career, Alma enjoys spending her free time practicing volleyball and yoga.
