If you ever wondered what is it to work for an insurance company and take a path as a sales agent, we hope to give you some answers by sharing three very touching stories coming directly from the
AIL agents. Those comments and many more are published on the official American Income Life company blog where the agents share their tips and motivational experience with the whole community.
The first story is coming from Jonathan Woelfle who says:
“I have been apart of the American Income Life Family and the Altig organization for over 9 months now. I was super stoked about the potential income and being able to help families. Well the income is great, but helping families has really become the most amazing part yet.
About 2 months ago I had a member who I was just helping with her policy. Her grown son had a little policy, but was now married and looking to start a family. Well she had him come and sit down to see what we could do for him. He was working at McDonald’s and was not able to afford much, but he saw how important it was. Well it took three visits to take care of his new policies and find time to get his wife in the same room, but finally we were able to get it all done.
About two weeks ago he called me to ask if everything was still good to go on the policies. I answered yes he had been approved and should be receiving his policies shortly. He then told me his wife had been in a bad car accident and had injured her back. She was in the hospital overnight and would most likely be going back again for more visits.
I helped him and his wife fill out the claims immediately and get the money that was going to really help them out in this time.
Because I had spent the time to take care of his Family and gone out of my way to take care of this for them they are now protected and will have every Hospital visit from this point on covered.
I Love This Job!”
Another one shared by Peter Patrie:
“I have had many jobs in my life. From being a professional musician, to master blaster, to assembly in a tractor factory, to call center management. I have had many careers, been an entrepreneur, restaurateur, and businessman. when my body was afflicted with a rheumatic chronic fatigue syndrome I was disabled, I had to use a cane to ease my mobility, and told to go on a disability pension and ‘take it easy’.
Not exactly my plan for the rest of my life.
Then I found American Income Life, a career that allowed me to set appointments on my own time, to help people and their families, to make of my career what I desired and dreamed of. I still have fatigue issues but I can work around this and still be a success. Without this opportunity, I may have not been able to surmount my personal issues. AIL is the pathway to realize dreams.”
Our last story for today is from Jesse Lawson who says:
“My idea of a job is 9-5, low pay, under appreciated, clock watching, boss hating, snooze bar hitting, he said she said office politics, just overall lethargicness(which i am not sure is even a word). Needless to say I have had some not so “exciting” jobs in my life.
Like so many of the people who will read this I received a call from someone at AIL stating that my resume was received by the HR department and that they wanted to schedule a time for me to interview with them. I didn’t know a lot about the company and when I came in for my interview I was just blown away. The company, the market, the products, the PAY!!!
I, like so many of my friends just wanted to find my NICHE. Something I could call my own. My background didn’t lend itself to that of the next best thing so companies, needless to say were not beating down my door. I knew though, that if could be given a chance to do something, to make a difference I would take that ball and run with it.
Fast Forward only 2 years later,,,,
I run an office with some of the most incredible people I have ever met. I don’t even know how many hours I work a week(when you own your own business you don’t really keep a time sheet). I don’t have a boss, I have a mentor who is one of the most inspirational and motivating people I have ever encountered.
I don’t own an alarm clock because I love what I do and I am excited to awake and take on the day. I hire the people that I work with so naturally we are all like minded and enjoy each others company. The pay,,,, I get paid what I am worth. This company basically gives you an
ATM and says take what you want. What you put in to it is what you get out of it. I wish that everyone could find a company like AIL and they would never have to work a day in there life.”
The sky is the limit!
