After graduating from the Westchester School of Beauty Culture in New York, mentor and hair stylist superstar Odile Gilbert guided Amoy Pitters through the techniques that would allow her to book her first show in Paris in 1998. Working as a hair stylist for part of the Christian Dior Couture fashion show, she impressed designer John Galliano so much that he asked her to style his hair for his appearance at the end of his show. After becoming Galliano’s personal hair stylist, Amoy Pitters became recognized as an especially talented stylist; soon, her services were highly sought after by supermodels, actresses, musicians, and fashion icons. Seen as the go-to hair extensions guru for both the fashion and entertainment industries, Amoy Pitters sets herself apart from the competition by experimenting with new techniques on her own hair to find new looks that will work for her clients. In addition to her work with fashionistas and stars, Amoy Pitters owns and operates a salon, Amoy Couture Hair. Located in Manhattan, the salon recently moved from its location in the East Village to a boutique salon located in the Upper East Side. As the owner of Amoy Couture Hair, Amoy Pitters strives to ensure each client receives the Hollywood treatment. With a staff of top-tier hair stylists, waxing specialists, and nail technicians, the luxury salon is focused on creating an all-encompassing environment that reflects clients’ unique styles and makes them feel like celebrities.
