Amy Rathke spends three-quarters of her year working at NOLS Headquarters in Lander, Wyoming. The rest of the time she’s in the field working as a NOLS instructor. She thinks she has pretty much the best job ever, even though she misses her home in the Pacific Northwest big time.

One thing she lacks is an internal monologue; if you’re hanging out with Amy, you can expect to hear exactly what’s on her mind at any given moment. She has found this to be sometimes good, sometimes awkward, and usually pretty funny.
