Throughout her life and career, the artist Ana Tzarev has cultivated an interest in foreign culture and issues of international importance.

First established in London in 2004, the Ana Tzarev Gallery relocated to New York City in 2008, gaining coverage from major newspapers and trade publications alike. Since then, the Ana Tzarev Gallery has become a recognized artistic and cultural institution, featuring art from artists, photographers, and sculptors around the world. The artist Ana Tzarev is a founding panelist on the Freedom to Create Prize, an exhibition of the finalists of the 2009 Prize was held earlier this year featuring 2009 Main Prize recipient filmmaker Moshen Makhmalbaf. In addition, the Gallery hosts exhibitions in conjunction with museums such as the Museum of Russian Icons and events to coincide the exhibit with groups such as the Hermitage Museum Foundation and a private tour for UN ambassadors. Recently, the Ana Tzarev Gallery presented award-winning photographer Chad Hunt’s exhibition, Outpost Afghanistan, to the acclaim of New Yorkers and city visitors alike. Featuring striking images of American soldiers in various regions of Afghanistan, including Kamdesh, Paktika, and the Korengal Valley, Outpost Afghanistan drew a broad audience to the Ana Tzarev Gallery as a center for international artwork.
