About Andrew Antoine

For the past 12 years, Andrew Antoine has operated as a project engineer and mechanical engineer for companies based in the United States and abroad. In 1991, Andrew Antoine enrolled at the General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) in Flint, Michigan, where he began a course of study in Mechanical Engineering. For two years, Andrew Antoine studied Mechanical Engineering at the General Motors Institute and laid the groundwork for his future career. Andrew Antoine later transferred to the Mechanical Engineering program at NDSU Mechanical & Architectural University. Andrew Antoine graduated in the spring 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and soon entered the professional world working in the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) field as a project estimator for well-known contract building company in North Dakota.

Andrew Antoine began the next stretch of his career with Applied Engineering for 8 years from 1999 thru 2007 to provide consultant engineering services to several company clients primarily using Proengineer 3D Cad modeling and drafting. In May 1999, Andrew Antoine arrived in Bismarck, North Dakota, and began a position as a full-time consulting mechanical engineer for Applied Engineering, Inc. The first company Andrew Antoine worked with was Ingersoll Rand Bobcat Engineering, located in Bismarck. After a year with the firm, Andrew Antoine transferred to the Bobcat location in Gwinner, North Dakota to be closer to his family after nearly losing a family member in a car crash and allowing him to be closer to home to assist with a 9 month recovery period. In late 2001, Case International Engineering secured his services through his direct employer Applied Engineering, Inc. Andrew Antoine provided engineering services to these companies by designing, drafting, and prototyping mechanical components and systems using Pro/ENGINEER 3D CAD software.

Later, an opportunity came thru his employer Applied Engineering to go down to the deep south in Augusta, Georgia, to provide engineering services for another division of Ingersoll Rand known as ClubCar. Andrew Antoine was requested for and directly involved with providing engineering assistance to design and document numerous projects that had fallen far behind schedule in an attempt to prepare for a major product launch for the company. Andrew Antoine turned down direct employment to remain with his employer, Applied Engineering, and engaged in assisting in the opening of a satellite office for Applied Engineering with another coworker in Augusta. Before long, Andrew Antoine found himself again involved with Bobcat and requested to come back north to become involved with a high-profile project to carry the Bobcat product line into China, where he was stationed directly for nearly a year, but unfortunately the project did not turn out as well as expected for the Bobcat due to the Chinese marketplace.

Next, Andrew Antoine was brought into Blount International, the forestry equipment division of Caterpillar in Prentice, Wisconsin to assist with numerous projects and was directly involved to assist engineering personnel with their Proengineer 3D modeling drafting needs. Andrew Antoine continued that for nearly 2 years while living and working in central Wisconsin. Andrew Antoine spent his career with Applied Engineering, Inc. as a consultant mechanical engineer for several other various clients, such as Surefoot, Inc. and BBJ Systems, in such locations as Georgia, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and China.

In May 2007, Andrew Antoine began a new stretch in his career, which did not require him to live out of suitcases and hotel rooms, starting in Houston, Texas, where Andrew Antoine has settled down, married, and works as Senior Project Engineer and temporary Engineering Supervisor. Andrew Antoine designs surface and subsea hydraulic equipment systems and downhole tools for the Oil Service Fishing Tools and Decommissioning Divisions of Weatherford International. Andrew Antoine has been involved with several projects to date and continues his career moving toward larger, more complex projects using his skills in proengineer (Proe), engineering background, and mechanical aptitude abilities. Andrew Antoine is involved with all aspects from concept, design to prototype and testing.
