Andrew Kessler, M.D. possesses almost 20 years of experience as a psychiatrist evaluating and treating patients with a range of disorders. Dr. Andrew Kessler has served in a variety of clinical settings, which enables him to appropriately serve patients from all backgrounds.

Andrew Kessler, M.D. served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison for over a decade. During his tenure as professor, Dr. Andrew Kessler also served as a physician in private practice and as Staff Psychiatrist for the Children’s Treatment Unit at the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Andrew Kessler’s comprehensive private practice included providing psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, and psychiatric treatment of children and adults. In his psychiatric practice, Andrew Kessler maintained affiliations as an attending physician with several Madison hospitals.

Subsequently serving as a Psychiatrist and Medical Director in a number of public health settings, Dr. Andrew Kessler was tasked with a myriad of clinical and supervisory responsibilities and gained considerable experience with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations. Serving at community clinics in several Wisconsin cities, Andrew Kessler’s experience involves a significant amount of family practice, the treatment of children with developmental disabilities, and crisis management.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and member of leading professional associations, Andrew Kessler, M.D. received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Andrew Kessler completed a residency in psychiatry and internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and pursued additional post-graduate work in child adolescent psychiatry as a fellow at that institution.

Andrew Kessler is active in organizations including Physicians for a National Health Program, the American Medical Association, and the Wisconsin Innocence Project of the University of Wisconsin Law School. Dr. Andrew Kessler is also a generous donor to environmental groups, including Defenders of Wildlife, The African Wildlife Foundation, and the Environmental Defense Fund.
