Before his career as a software company executive in Phoenix, Arizona, Andrew Ling worked in small to medium-sized law firms. He majored in government with an emphasis on international relations as an undergraduate at Pomona College in Claremont, California, where he received his Bachelor of Arts. Andrew Ling attended law school and received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, serving as Editor of the Notes and Comments section of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. The author of a paper on the impact of U.S. de-recognition policy towards Taiwan on American business interests, Andrew Ling focused on international business and international law while in law school. Joining the Phoenix law firm Storey and Ross in 1988, Andrew Ling worked on projects relating to international licensing for software, OEM/VAR agreements, and negotiations for real estate sales to foreign entities. After his time at Storey and Ross, Mr. Ling became a Senior Associate in the national law firm Heron, Burchette, Ruckert, & Rothwell, which was also located in Phoenix. Continuing to work on commercial litigation and international commercial legal matters, Andrew Ling represented an Arizona-based client in its efforts to secure development rights on the eastern coast of Russia. In 1990, Andrew Ling began working for GTX Corporation, serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Phoenix-area tech firm. Andrew Ling has made significant contributions to both the legal and operational side of GTX Corporation. Having served as Senior Vice President in addition to General Counsel, Mr. Ling currently leads the company as President and CEO. Providing the strategic direction for GTX, Andrew Ling recently announced the launch of their latest product, GTXRaster Cad 2011, which provides raster editing and digital conversion software that supports Microsoft Windows 7 and other 64-bit computing platforms for AutoCAD programs. Andrew Ling is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice before the Court of International Trade in New York City.
