Using publishing as a form of intercultural connection

Anna Ziajka recently received her BA from Georgetown University, where she double-majored in English and Arabic. A devout reader, writer, and lover of all things connected to imagination and the printed word, she has written for newspapers including the Vallejo Times-Herald and the New York Daily News. At Georgetown, she worked as a news reporter and founder of the fiction section of the Georgetown Voice. She has been living in Cairo since September 2007, where she is an intern in the editorial department of the American University in Cairo Press.
