Vitarelli

Anthony serves as an attorney in the Appellate Section of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice. Previously, he was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas B. Griffith of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He graduated from Yale Law School, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law Journal.

In law school he worked in the D.C. offices of Jones Day and Jenner & Block. He also worked as a law clerk in the Appellate Division of the D.C. United States Attorney’s Office. Before entering law school, Anthony worked as a regulatory analyst for Policy Navigation Group.

A recipient of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship, Anthony graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a BA in public policy and economics. He recently concluded a three-year term on the Duke University Board of Trustees. Anthony spent his year following graduation from Duke as an Enterprising Leadership Fellow. During his fellowship year, he split time between Santiago, Chile and Washington, DC working for Accion Emprendedora, a microfinance non-profit firm that helps poor entrepreneurs start small businesses.
