Dr. Antonios Antoniou draws on a distinguished career as a financial expert, consultant, researcher, and academic to support his ongoing initiatives. Currently, Dr. Antoniou serves as Chief Executive Officer and a Consultant with Finance, Research, Training, and Consulting (FRT-C). A prolific author and sought after speaker with hundreds of published articles about his findings, Dr. Antoniou pursues multiple avenues of focus in his research, including the role and function of derivative markets, behavioural finance, corporate finance, emerging capital markets, and asset pricing.

Asset pricing, also known as valuation, occurs when one estimates the worth of something. Assets typically break down into further categories, including tangible assets, such as stocks, bonds, property, and businesses, and intangible assets, which may include intellectual property or customer relationships. Experts also perform valuation on liabilities, such as debts or issued bonds. Asset pricing may be deemed necessary for a number of financial transactions, such as a merger or acquisition, during litigation, or for the purposes of taxation.

Multiple pricing models exist that yield the value of an asset. Primary examples of asset pricing models include absolute value models, which determine what the current value of expected cash flow is; relative value models, which use comparative pricing to assess financial worth; and option pricing models, which help appraise complex financial assets. Within each of these categories exists multiple methods of yielding monetary worth.
