Arash Rahi is a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology and practices at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.
Arash Rahi is a practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Arash Rahi helps improve woman’s health and is an expert in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. At the 2009 Bruce K. Young, MD Research Retreat, hosted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New York School of Medicine, Arash Rahi gave a presentation titled Role of Urodynamic Testing in Patient Care at Bellevue Hospital, where he also sees patients. Urodynamic testing assesses how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and releasing urine. Urodynamic testing has been used frequently in managing female urinary incontinence. In patients with a history indicating stress urinary incontinence, urodynamic testing may or may not be necessary for treatment options. More research is being conducted to study the potential use of urodynamic testing and to better evaluate the prevalence of urinary symptoms in patients with urinary incontinence. Arash Rahi is a member of two professional medical organizations. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is a nonprofit organization of women’s health care and physicians advocating the highest standards of practice. The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) strives to improve the lives of women with pelvic floor disorders through treatment, research, education and advocacy. Beyond practicing medicine, Arash Rahi gives back to his local community by volunteering his time as a Firefighter at the Great Neck Vigilant Engine and Hook & Ladder Co., Inc. in New York.
