Arthur's Status Updates

A resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attorney and aviation expert Arthur Wolk brings a long and storied tradition to his work at The Wolk Law Firm. Over the past 35 years, Arthur Wolk has positioned himself and his firm as the leading names in aviation litigation, helping countless victims of airplane crashes and other related disasters. A diligent student, Arthur Wolk attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in 1965. Upon graduation, Arthur Wolk remained at Temple University and enrolled in its School of Law. Arthur Wolk received his J.D. in 1968 from the Temple University School of Law. As a practicing attorney, Arthur Wolk found his passion in aviation and soon gained his pilot’s license. Splitting time between his legal profession and flying, Arthur Wolk learned how to operate numerous types of aircraft and currently holds the highest-ranked pilot’s certificate, Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Arthur Wolk has authorization to fly both single- and multi-engine aircraft for land and sea and can also operate the F9F-2 Panther jet fighter. In addition, Arthur Wolk has years of experience flying in air shows across the nation, most notably as a member (Cat 5) of the Flight of the Grumman Cats. A tenacious advocate for airline disaster victims both in and out of the courtroom, Arthur Wolk personally understands the experience of being in a plane crash. In 1996, Arthur Wolk sustained severe injuries when his Panther jet developed engine trouble, and he was forced to make an emergency landing. While recovering from his broken arm and back, Arthur Wolk gained a firsthand perspective of the seriousness of airline disasters, a knowledge that deepens his comprehension of the plight of crash victims and their families. Arthur Wolk and the seasoned attorneys at The Wolk Law Firm have worked on some of the most significant airplane crashes of the modern era and brought about verdicts and settlements totaling close to $1 billion over the past decade.
