Ben Soleimani is a fourth generation member of the antique rug family-owned business, Mansour. Like his family, he is renowned in the art world as an authority and master craftsman of fine rugs and tapestries. Ben Soleimani has a unique ability to blend contemporary and traditional styles in order to create truly breathtaking rugs that distinguish themselves alongside such revered names as Michael Smith, Victoria Hagan and Kerry Joyce. Ben Soleimani founded Mansour Modern in Los Angeles back in 2005. Since opening Mansour’s first United States showroom in 1993, Ben Soleimani has brought the beauty and heritage of Mansour from around the world right to the US. Today, Ben Soleimani is working on a new project to revitalize the five-block area of Melrose Avenue between La Cienega and San Vicente. His vision is to create a new west coast art hotspot that is both sophisticated and fun with a young and unique feeling.
Ben Soleimani plans to bring contemporary art galleries, restaurants, and high-end shops into this stretch of Melrose Avenue. Ben Soleimani’s vision is “a cross between the 7th [arrondissement] in Paris and Sloane Street in London” infused with the spirit of LA.
