Benny Nordahl is a result focused and innovative direct marketing expert with a proven track record of successful profit and loss management and aggressive growth in most media and channels in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. He has generated over $1.5 Billion in revenue from tens of millions of customers by utilizing breakthrough marketing strategies covering new acquisition, retention and upsell, while consistently maximizing profit growth and cost management.

Benny is a strong leader that develops winning teams, implements best practices and improves operational efficiency. He has led departments with up to 200 members and 12 direct reports. Benny has managed marketing budgets of up to $150 million across direct mail, e-commerce, DRTV informercials & spots, telemarketing, customer service sales and retail. With well-rounded experience including substantial turn-around and domestic, as well as international new market entries, he has developed and launched successful new products and businesses around the world. Benny is an analytical self-starter that enjoys a fast-paced environment. With deep knowledge of all aspects of the science of direct marketing, Benny’s expertise includes technical areas such as lifetime customer value guided testing matrixes, multivariable regression analysis, CRM, and multilevel scored merge purge as well as visionary creative work, operational implementation and project management.

Currently he is an independent consultant helping clients in the areas of e-commerce, social media, new market entry, direct marketing, and business development. As President, Benny led the North American start-up of Greetings Direct for Flying Brands, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The process from board approval to the first mailing was executed in just 5 months and generated exceptional results in both the US and Canada. Benny also has a background in music and video entertainment and served as Senior Vice President at Time Life, with P&L responsibility in the US, Hispanic and Canadian markets, utilizing Short and Long-Form TV, Ecommerce, Direct Mail, Telemarketing, Customer Service Sales and Retail. In addition, Benny was responsible for all Time Life book publishing. Among many accomplishments are a $200 million strategic plan with 100% success rate from product launches, 500% Canadian result improvement, and 400% ROI on total customer upsells. Prior to Time Life Benny founded InterBox Media, Inc, an innovative B2B advertising service company that reached operational breakeven in just 6 months and gained market share from much larger competitors. During his time at IMP (International Masters Publishers), a leading global direct marketing publishing company, Benny held positions as President, SVP, Business Unit Leader, VP Marketing, and Marketing Manager. While there, he started publishing operations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Chile, Japan and Taiwan, turned a loss in North America into a $27 million profit while doubling revenue to $300 million, developed a comprehensive e-commerce strategy, implemented a global marketing strategy for 27 countries, introduced supply chain techniques, evaluated M&A opportunities, managed and developed IT systems, and led the group’s international direct marketing university with levels ranging from Basic to Masters. As a part of his commitment to non-profit work Benny managed the turn-around of a school from a substantial loss to a solid profit by implementing fundraising, a new website, social media activities on Facebook and YouTube, a digital newsletter, and adding new classes with a variety of PR activities to grow enrollment.

Benny holds a Civilekonom degree in marketing from University of Lund in Sweden. He is a Trustee at Oneness Peace Academy in Chevy Chase, MD, where he has served on the Finance and Marketing Committees. He is also the Chairman of the Swedish School for Children in Washington DC where he serves on the Web, Marketing, and Fundraising Committees.
