After many years as a minister at Milwaukee’s Holy Redeemer Church of God In Christ, a place of worship upheld through the leadership and commitment of the Daniels family, Sedgwick Daniels earned the title of Bishop in November 2001. Due to his values of dedication, faith, and commitment, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels received over 40 awards and recognitions in religious leadership as well as other fields.

In addition to his devotion to the Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels has proven himself a successful businessman, earning positions on several boards. The Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) names Bishop Sedgwick Daniels among their board members. Bishop Sedgwick Daniels’ sister, Valerie Daniels Carter, is established as a businesswoman. As well as owning over 150 restaurants throughout the United States, she directs the choir at Holy Redeemer Church of God In Christ.

As a local religious leader, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels contributes to the Milwaukee community both through the church and individually. Bishop Daniels participates in community service through the Young/Coggs Preparatory Academy, the Holy Redeemer Christian Academy, the Holy Redeemer Educational Possentum, the Educational Consortium, and Church of God In Christ Social Services. As a general board member of the Wisconsin First Jurisdiction, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels presides over 90 churches, contributing his knowledge, leadership skills, and charismatic persona to each of them and to the Christian Wisconsin community at large.

A set of fundamental, conservative Christian values comprise Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ and Bishop Sedgwick Daniels’ philosophy. While delivering his sermons, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels speaks with emotion, often inspiring those who are present. The leader of a large part of the Milwaukee Christian community believes that “If God can do anything, God can do everything. There is nothing too hard for God”.
