Blair Hull has held several executive positions throughout his business career, particularly that of board member. From 1988 to 1990, Hull served on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). As the very first US options exchange, the CBOE currently is the largest of its kind. Earning awards such as the Exchange of the Year, North America in 2006, the company is acknowledged as a leading name in its field. Hull spent some time with the CBOE as a market maker in the early 1980s prior to his serving on its board.

After serving on CBOE’s Board of Directors, Blair Hull maintained a position on the board of The Options Clearing Corporation from 1992 to 1998. The same year he became a board member for this organization, he joined the Board of Directors for Barra, Inc., a supplier of investment tools. He maintained this board position for 12 years before MSCI Inc. bought the company. For the past two years, Hull has served on the Board of Directors for the San Jose-based Xambala Inc., a high frequency financial event processing company.

Blair Hull is a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Women’s Sports Foundation and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Hull received his Bachelor’s in Mathematics from UCSB prior to obtaining his Master’s in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
