Kwon Do Academy

Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy has provided high quality instruction in the Korean martial art of tae kwon do.

Natick, Massachusetts

By adhering to the centuries-old teachings of tae kwon do, the experienced instructional staff at the Academy helps participants develop the courage, self-discipline, respect, and positive self-image necessary to succeed in all aspects of life. One of the cornerstones of Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy is the children’s program, which encourages young students to build these positive traits and hold themselves to a high standard in both the Academy and the classroom.

In addition to its successful children’s programs, Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy offers a comprehensive adult instruction program designed to help people of all ages to achieve their goals and benefit from the philosophies of the ancient martial art. Thanks to the immense potential of martial arts instruction to build positive habits and attitudes, Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy actively encourages men, women, children, parents, and even grandparents to participate in its programs. One of the primary adult programs at Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy, the Black Belt Martial Arts School, places a particular emphasis on discipline and perseverance, challenging all students to hold themselves to a high standard and persist until they reach their goals.

At the physical level, the unique curriculum at Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy helps students gradually increase their flexibility, balance, and overall coordination. As students progress through the Black Belt Success System, they will begin to see dramatic increases in their strength, stamina, and energy, as well as significant improvements in their daily activities. While physical aspects such as quickness and flexibility are important to success in tae kwon do, Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy ensures that all students remain focused on the mental aspects of their martial arts education.

Boston Tae Kwon Do Academy operates under the guidance of President and Owner Master Alberto Montrond, a former world champion and three-time United States national champion. In addition to his distinguished competitive career, which includes a gold medal in the 1991 U.S. Open International Team Challenge and an appearance at the 2009 Olympic trials in South Africa, Master Alberto Montrond possesses more than 30 years of training and instructional experience in tae kwon do.
