Brad Iden is an involved member of his community as well as numerous government associations. He supports the United Service Organizations (USO), a group that provides morale, welfare, and recreation to U.S. military personnel. Additionally, he is a contributor to Rotary International, which works to fight hunger, promote peace, improve health and sanitation, and provide education and job training. Brad Iden is also involved with the YWCA USA and YMCA of the USA, which are dedicated to eradicating racism and promoting justice, freedom, peace and dignity for all people, and Big Brothers Big Sisters USA, a mentoring organization that works with volunteers to lend support and provide advice to youth. Giving to charities is also important to Brad Iden, and he supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Cancer Society, Inc., the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, and Catholic Charities USA, an organization that works to support families, reduce poverty, and build communities. Brad Iden began his education at Princeton University in 1987. He distinguished himself there when he maintained a 4.0 GPA, became class valedictorian, and earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and MBA degrees in just three years. After he graduated from Princeton, Brad Iden entered medical school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine in 1998 and named Resident of the Year and class valedictorian. In 2005, Brad Iden majored in engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and once again earned a GPA of 4.0 and was chosen as class valedictorian. Brad Iden has affiliations with many varied professional organizations, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Sandia Corporation, the National Security Agency, the American Bar Association, and the American Board of Surgery, Inc. In his free time, Brad Iden is likely to play sports, practice martial arts, or travel. He reads the Bible, along with the venerable works of Aristotle, Sir Isaac Newton, Machiavelli, Newton, Galileo, Einstein, Socrates, and Plato.
