Tollman was recently named the President and Chief Executive of The Travel Corporation (TTC), one of the world’s largest, most highly respected and most far-reaching networks of tourism, travel and leisure. Professional Background Brett Tollman’s career in the travel and hospitality industry, as well as his relationship with the Travel Corporation, goes back well over a decade. In March 1997 he became the company’s Vice-Chairman, reporting directly to the company’s CEO. Brett Tollman headed up relations with members of a variety of industries, and was responsible for several regions in the market. As part of his role, he represented the Travel Corporation within the World Travel and Tourism Council’s international forum, and acted as liaison with the North American and Australian sales offices. Before joining TTC, Brett Tollman was the President and COO of the hotel chain T-H Hotels. In his senior management role of this private group of hotels, Brett G. Tollman was responsible for sales, marketing and operations, overseeing more than 4,000 employees as well as the maintenance of some 150 hotels, members of the franchise. In 2007, Brett Tollman took the role of President at The Travel Corporation. Here, he oversaw the company’s North American businesses, located both in the United States and Canada. This included seven brands within the travel and hospitality industry.. Simultaneous with his work as the Travel Corporation President, Brett G. Tollman was managing director of several companies in Europe. Brett Tollman’s work involved overseeing European tour operator service companies which handled local travel arrangements for tourists travelling in Europe. Current Business Positions In July 2010 Brett G. Tollman became the Travel Corporation’s President and Chief Executive, relocating to the US as part of his position. The company, in business for over three generations, owns and manages over twenty leading global travel and tourism companies, serving over a million customers each year. In addition to his many roles throughout the years, for over a decade, Brett Tollman has acted as CEO of Red Carnation Hotels, a boutique company that owns 12 exclusive hotels around the world. He also has been heavily involved in the company’s growth over the years, and oversees all of the company’s aspects including capital investment, online business, sales & marketing and more. Tourism for Tomorrow Awards Brett G. Tollman is the founding board member of the Travel Corporation Conservation Foundation, sponsoring the annual Tourism for Tomorrow Awards. The foundation offers awards to help increase awareness to work done by organizations in the industry that have a beneficial and sustainable impact on the planet. Projects for which organizations are awarded include working towards the preservation of historical sites, decreasing pollution and other impact that tourism can have on the environment, and helping to empower indigenous peoples.
