Brian Baker grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee as an avid soccer player. Although he was a slacker for most of his childhood, he finally pulled things together in high school, performing well enough to get a scholarship to attend Washington and Lee University. W&L provided Brian with many things, from good friends to a good work ethic, but provided no better service than the opportunity to meet Heather. After graduating from W&L, Brian stayed for a year to work in the admissions department and spend time with Heather. Brian and Heather were engaged in January of 2004. In August of 2004, Brian started law school at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. He and Heather were married that next June. In August of 2006, Brian secured post-law school employment with the Dallas law firm SettlePou.
