Brian Bennett is a graduate of Princeton and a native of Riverside, California. Since 2000, he has worked with TIME as a foreign correspondent in Iraq and other parts of Asia. TIME magazine recognized Bennett’s writing with the Henry Luce Award for an Outstanding Story in 2003, and he was nominated for the 2004 National Magazine Award for excellence in reporting. Currently Bennett is working in Washington, D.C. and writing about security and legal issues. However, he returns to Iraq regularly to continue TIME magazine’s in-depth coverage of the Iraq occupation. Bennett is also a frequent guest on CNN and FOX news broadcasts.
