Brian Frenzel has applied a diverse set of skills in business development, project management and operations to numerous leadership positions throughout his career. Mr. Frenzel’s biomedical company business development fundraising efforts have yielded more than $300 million in corporate partner funds from foreign and domestic companies to finance early stage biomedical companies. Among other achievements, Brian Frenzel successfully brokered the sale of Vesta Medical, Inc. to Pfizer. He also has negotiated and implemented numerous licenses, both in-licenses and out-licenses, with academic research institutions and corporations that provided the basis for commercialization of a variety of new technologies.

In the realm of project management, Brian Frenzel has managed numerous business initiatives involving scientific discovery and product development. Applying his creativity and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of business and medical technology, he also oversaw a variety of multifunctional research and development initiatives requiring designing experimental protocols, evaluating results and obtaining patent protection. Mr. Frenzel’s management and operational accomplishments include building five new medical research laboratories; establishing scientific advisory boards and networks of business, research and clinical study advisors; overseeing the growth of diagnostics, medical device and pharmaceutical operations in accordance U.S. Food and Drug Administration requirements and good manufacturing practice (GMP); and implementing human clinical studies in the US and internationally. At Syntex Corporation, a pharmaceutical and diagnostics company, and as a management consultant, Brian Frenzel managed strategy development projects resulting in improvements in marketing, multinational manufacturing and distribution operations. In a management consulting assignment for a leading healthcare products company, he used innovative marketing research techniques to predict consumer behavior and recommend the successful implementation of the first direct to consumer (DTC) marketing campaign for a prescription medical product.

Currently, Brian Frenzel serves on the Board of SanBio, Inc., a cell therapy discovery and development company, and as President of the life sciences investment and advisory firm AnVent Group. Mr. Frenzel also currently holds the position of President and CEO at Tosk, Inc., a pharmaceutical discovery and development company developing new cancer drugs. Over the course of his career, Brian Frenzel has built expertise in managing corporate start-up and high growth processes, conceiving and implementing product development and research strategies, and in establishing and managing corporate partnerships. Mr. Frenzel maintains contact with his colleagues through membership in myriad professional associations, including the Band of Angels and the Golden Capital Network.
