Brian Hayes is currently balancing his time between 5Linx, a global communications company and the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center. He is a 2007 graduate of Wester Illinois University, where he studied African American Studies and History; in addition, he is pursuing a Masters in the same concentrations and will complete his program in 2009.
