Screenwriter35, Frankfort, KentuckyWhen he’s not writing screenplays, Brian Hockensmith dedicates much time and effort to organizations that make a difference in the world. He has taken part in such groups as the American Cancer Society and the American Screenwriters Association. Brian also volunteers to work in community service activities sponsored by the Baptist Church he is an active member of. Some of the great screenwriters that have influenced Brian are: Adam Hertz, the man behind American Pie, Crash and Flags of Our Fathers screenwriter Paul Haggis, and Jim Kouf, writer of Rush Hour and National Treasure. Three of his favorite books are Lifeguard, The Good Guy, and The Walt Disney Biography. During his time off, Mr. Hockensmith coaches t-ball, watches movies, reads books, and plays kickball and tag in his yard with his son. As an athlete, he also takes pleasure in weightlifting, swimming, running, and martial arts. His favorite place to visit is Walt Disney World. Lasagna is his favorite food.
