A graduate of John Carroll University, Brian Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. During his time at the University, Mr. Smith majored in Accounting and he has since become a Certified Public Accountant. Brian Smith belongs to the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Society of Accountants.

Brian Smith served for six years with the well-known international accounting firm Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, which is now known as Deloitte & Touche. He also served as a division controller for LDI Corporation before joining Revco D.S., Inc. At Revco, a retail drug store chain worth $5.5 billion, Brian Smith worked as the Manager of Corporate Accounting.

With his experience in accounting, business and finance, Brian Smith joined Proforma, a leading print and promotional material company, in 1995. Currently, he serves as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. At Proforma, Brian Smith oversees a wide range of activities, including the operating, accounting and computer systems. As Proforma grows, he helps the organization to adapt to new challenges and serve the needs of its large customer base. Working with the executive team, he strives to meet the firm’s long-term strategic plan.

During his time at Proforma, Brian Smith has led the company to a ninefold growth in annual sales. He has also overseen the creation and deployment of a number of software and enterprise systems to give Proforma Owners the edge they need in the marketplace. In light of these and other marketing tools and resources offered by Proforma, the company has been named Top Distributor by Promo Marketing Magazine three years in a row.

Brian Smith supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure as well as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland. He remains active in his five children’s schools, including St. Joseph Academy and St. Edward High School.

Brian Smith, a graduate of John Carroll University and a CPA, joined Proforma in 1995 and directs the development of the operating, accounting and computer systems to meet the growing demands of the organization. Mr. Smith works with the Proforma Executive Team to facilitate meeting the company's strategic plan. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Smith was the Manager of Corporate Accounting for Revco D.S., Inc., a $5.5 billion retail drug store chain. Prior to his position with Revco, Mr. Smith was a division controller for LDI Corporation and spent six years with the international accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche). Brian directs the development of the operating, accounting and computer systems to meet the growing demands of the organization. Mr. Smith works with the Proforma Executive Team to facilitate meeting the company's strategic plan. During his tenure at Proforma, the company’s annual sales have grown ninefold. He has overseen the development and launch of several proprietary software platforms and enterprise systems which have given Proforma Owners a leading edge in the marketplace. Brian has also influenced a rebranding initiative and a full scale launch of marketing tools and resources for Proforma Owners. This includes the addition of a full suite of collateral, direct mail campaigns, eNewsletter marketing and more. Under his leadership, Proforma has received numerous honors including being named the Top Distributor by Promo Marketing magazine for three consecutive years.
