Britta Hyllengren leverages extensive negotiation and lending experience in her current role as an associate lawyer at Proskauer Rose. Since 2007, Britta Hyllengren has worked closely with secured, private equity, and subordinate lenders to expedite financial transactions. Britta Hyllengren leads her team of junior associates and paralegals in recapitalization, intercreditor, acquisition, and merger enterprises. Before joining Proskauer Rose, Britta Hyllengren was an associate at Day Pitney law firm. While serving with Day Pitney, Britta Hyllengren facilitated debt agreements between corporate lenders and borrowers. Britta Hyllengren accumulated additional experience setting terms and administering agreements for creditors of real estate deals. One of Britta Hyllengren’s transactions entailed representing a group of commercial banks in a $300 million loan to a prospect. Britta Hyllengren graduated cum laud from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Finance and Computer Applications as well as a minor in Theology. For the next two years, Britta Hyllengren served the asset management company State Street Global Advisors. At the firm, Britta Hyllengren aided nonprofit organizations in constructing donation programs for planned giving. Hyllengren also helped donors extract tax and other financial benefits from their giving. After her time at the firm, Britta Hyllengren enrolled concurrently in the Suffolk University Law School and the Sawyer Business School, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in law and her Master of Business Administration. Britta Hyllengren graduated on the Dean’s Honor List in the top five percent of her legal class.
