About Dr. Brittany N. Meyer
Brittany N. Meyer, DMD joined the practice of Howard Grant, DDS in Decatur, Georgia in September 2010. Joining an experienced and talented team of dental professionals, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD brings her impressive skill set and credentials to the office.
In 1994, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD enrolled the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Graduating in 1998, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In the fall of 1998, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD began attending the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta.
Over the course of her four years in dental school, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD earned several scholarships and awards due to her outstanding performance. In addition to earning a scholarship from the Georgia Dental Education Foundation (now the Fisher Foundation), Brittany N. Meyer, DMD received the Grover C. Hunter Scholarship from the MCG Honors Program in Oral Surgery and the Achievement Award from Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.
After graduating in 2002, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD performed post-graduate studies in cosmetic dentistry at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD has practiced family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. Brittany N. Meyer, DMD is active with organizations such as the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society, Northern District Dental Society, The Hinman Dental Society of Atlanta, and Gwinnett Dental Study Club.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Atlanta native Brittany N. Meyer, DMD performs community service at the Hebron Dental Clinic in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and donates to the Ronald McDonald House charity. In her spare time, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and biking.
Selected as one of Atlanta’s top dentists in 2009 and 2010 by Atlanta Magazine, Brittany N. Meyer, DMD currently functions at the office of Howard Grant, DDS, which has been in practice in the area for almost 50 years.

The program provides students with a rigorous background in both the biological and physical sciences with an emphasis on the chemistry of life processes. Following introductory courses in biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology, students study advanced topics in biochemistry, including biotechnology, human disease, and physical biochemistry. Two semesters of laboratory research are required, typically as an independent research project in the laboratory of a faculty member, together with electives in microbiology, immunology, genetics, and/or developmental biology.

Our organization is actively involved in the education and treatment of the indigent population of Georgia. The Georgia Dental Society is a constituent society of the National Dental Association.

The Hinman Dental Society, a non-profit organization, is comprised of more than 750 member dentists primarily located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1911 by Thomas P. Hinman, the Society is dedicated to the advancement of its membership through outstanding educational and professional development opportunities, as well as promoting the high practice standards of the field of dentistry through public advocacy and outreach.
Each year, the Society hosts the annual Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting, which exists to provide the best possible continuing dental education, not just for the dentists, but also the whole dental team. The program addresses the needs of general dentists, specialists, hygienists, assistants, front office staff and students.
The meeting has developed a reputation for devotion to detail and hospitality that has continued to grow through the years with every meeting. These qualities are represented in the motto: "Devotion to detail is the secret of success." The combination of outstanding education and hospitality ensures the position of the Hinman Dental Meeting as one of the premier dental programs in the country.

Northern District Dental Society
2002
The Northern District Dental Society is an 1300 member organization representing the dental profession in the twelve county greater Atlanta area. The counties covered by NDDS are: Barrow, Clayton, Dekalb, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Morgan, Newton, Rockdale, and Walton. The Society is divided into seven Branches to offer more services at the grassroots level.
NDDS is a component of the Georgia Dental Association, which along with the American Dental Association, form the three levels of organized dentistry.
The programs and services offered by the Northern District to the public and the dental profession it serves include: dental health education projects and activities, continuing dental education programs, legislative involvement with issues impacting the quality of dental care, bi-monthly newsletter, membership recognition programs, involvement in and support of other community organizations, placement service for positions in dental offices, grievance mediation and peer review and, of course, this web page.
