Dr. Bruce Lasker - Pacific NeurologySan Diego, CaliforniaIn addition to the private practice he founded in 1987, Pacific Neurology, Dr. Bruce Lasker’s busy professional schedule also includes roles as an Associate Clinical Professor for the University of California, San Diego, Department of Neurosciences, and a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the California Division of Workers’ Compensation–Medical Unit, which was previously known as the Industrial Medical Council. Dr. Bruce Lasker is licensed to practice medicine in California, Nevada, and Colorado, and is affiliated with Sharp Memorial Hospital, Scripps Mercy Hospital, and the UC San Diego Health System. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Lasker began his medical career as a student at Northwestern University. After completing his B.A. in Science and an Honors Program in Medical Education, he enrolled at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and received his M.D. in 1981. Dr. Bruce Lasker stayed at Northwestern to complete his internship in the Feinberg School of Medicine Department of Medicine and his residency with the Department of Neurology. Bruce Lasker, M.D., relocated to the West Coast when he was given the opportunity to complete a fellowship in geriatric neurology and dementia at the University of California, San Diego, in 1985. After completing the fellowship in 1987, he founded Pacific Neurology. Early in his medical career, Dr. Lasker conducted extensive research in the neurological field, particularly on the effects and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, and published nine articles in neurological journals.
