With extensive experience in the field of laser surgery, Bruce Saal, M.D., currently oversees a solo dermatology practice at the Medical Center of Los Gatos in California. He also serves as an Attending Physician at the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University. Bruce Saal, M.D., developed an interest in the use of lasers for dermatological purposes as early as 1974. In 1978, he began using an Argon laser at his solo practice. Since then, Bruce Saal, M.D., has educated hundreds of medical professional regarding the use of the latest laser technologies. His contributions to the field of dermatology include publishing and delivering numerous academic lectures. In 1984, he notably helped to develop the laser clinic in the Department of Dermatology at Stanford Hospital & Clinics. He developed an interest in dermatology while attending the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following the completion of his medical degree in 1972, Bruce Saal, M.D., relocated to Los Angeles to complete an internship and a residency in dermatology at the Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center. In 1982, he received certification from The American Board of Pathology and the American Board of Dermatology. He also served as an original member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
