Recently, Burleigh Skidmore, CPA was the tax accountant of record for an estate estimated to be worth almost $100 million. The IRS audited the estate and, demonstrating his expertise and attention to detail, Skidmore’s Form 706 filing was accepted by the agency without changes. Aside from estate tax preparation, Skidmore is experienced in real estate purchases, sales, 1031 tax-free exchanges, depreciations, and rentals.

Burleigh Skidmore’s many leisure activities include his role as frontman for the Hope Ranch Posse Band. Skidmore is also the co-founder and co-chairman of the Hope Ranch Beach and Music Festival, which is held every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The festival features beach activities throughout the day, and a barbeque, live music, and dancing into the night.

Burleigh Skidmore performed with surfer and musician Tom Curren during a five-date West Coast theater tour featuring the Josh Palmer surf movie “TK8 Last Ride”. Skidmore opened three of the five shows playing solo electric guitar, while Curren backed him on percussion. The movie was scored live during the screening, with Skidmore on percussion during the remaining two shows while Curren played the soundtrack.
