Caitlin graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 with a BA in Political & Social Thought, and Modern Studies. Having worked with the Roosevelt team since her 3rd year at college, she signed up to oversee Roosevelt’s legislative affairs, publications, and policy priorities immediately after graduating.

Her background includes editorial positions on several magazines and journals, including managing editor and editor in chief roles at UVA’s Inkstone magazine, 3.7 literary magazine, the Wilson Journal of International Affairs, and the Roosevelt’s Institution’s annual Review & 25 Ideas series.

Caitlin’s own policy work focuses on ethnic violence and escalation into genocide, which she intends to develop further with a PhD in political science. A native Washingtonian who grew up in Arlington and now lives in the District, politics has and will always be at the core of her daily life.
