Dr. Carey Dachman has served since 1982 as the Medical Director of Pain Therapy Associates, Ltd., in Schaumburg, Illinois. Pain Therapy Associates offers an experienced team of board-certified doctors and health professionals that utilize both modern medicine and alternative techniques to provide pain relief.

Before embarking on a career as a rheumatologist, Dr. Carey Dachman attended the University of Illinois at both the Urbana-Champaign and Chicago campuses while studying to attain his Doctor of Medicine degree. As an undergraduate, Dr. Carey Dachman studied biology and was recognized for his scholarly acumen with membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. Dr. Carey Dachman graduated with his M.D. in 1976.

Dr. Carey Dachman is an expert in the treatment of fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and other forms of chronic pain. Board certified with the American College of Rheumatology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, Dr. Carey Dachman is the only arthritis specialist in Illinois with board certification from three organizations. Additionally, Dr. Carey Dachman received the National Committee for Quality Assurance Award recognizing excellence in the care of chronic back pain, and received the Patients Choice Award in 2008.

Dr. Carey Dachman is a member of the American Medical Association, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Rheumatology, the Chicago Rheumatism Society, and the Chicago Medical Society.
