Dr. Carol Kiriakos serves as a researcher and psychiatrist. She has distinguished herself in the fields of psychology, academics, and community service throughout her life. As an undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, she garnered multiple awards for her academic and philanthropic endeavors. In 1994, Dr. Kiriakos received the UCLA Helpline Service Award for Outstanding Service for her accomplishments as the Executive Director and Trainer of the institution’s Crisis Intervention Hotline. In the following year, she qualified for induction into the Golden Key Honors Society. In 2005, Dr. Kiriakos earned distinction as one of only 50 graduating students to receive the coveted UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award for involvement in community service.

Furthering her education at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in 1996, Dr. Carol Kiriakos continued her record of academic excellence. Over the course of the 4-year MD program, Dr. Kiriakos repeatedly won honors for superior clinical and academic performance. In particular, she earned recognition in the areas of plastic surgery, neurology, adult inpatient psychiatry, child psychiatry, and consultation-liaison psychiatry. In 1997, Dr. Carol Kiriakos secured a prestigious research grant, the UCLA Summer Research Fellowship. Through the fellowship, she participated in a research program on mood disorders at the Neuropsychiatric Institute.

After graduating from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in 2001, Dr. Carol Kiriakos undertook an internship at The Cleveland Clinic, a multi-specialty academic medical center that combines research and training with high-quality clinical care. She then went on to complete a three-year residency through the University of Los Angeles-San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Residency Training Program. During her time with these institutions, Dr. Kiriakos garnered an array of awards. In her experience with research throughout her academic training, Dr. Carol Kiriakos has published three peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter.

Dr. Carol Kiriakos provides patients with psychotherapy and medication management services through her private practice in Beverly Hills, California. In addition, she also lends her expertise as a Staff Psychiatrist to A New Journey Eating Disorder Center in Santa Monica, working with intensely ill patients who suffer from Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa.
