With an interest in learning and dedication to a military spouse, Carol Stull has spent a large portion of her adult life traveling and living overseas. Residing with her family in Bandung, Indonesia for an extended period of time, she adeptly balanced the many demands of motherhood with her own interest in experiencing other cultures, escorting her children on trips to Jakarta and Bali whenever her schedule allowed. Helping her children learn to acclimate, Carol Stull gently fostered their sense of independence through a number of enjoyable activities. Over the course of their stay in Southeast Asia, the Stull family journeyed into urban centers to watch traditional Wayang puppet shows and shop for Batik textiles in the local marketplaces. Moreover, Carol Stull employed her ever-growing knowledge of Padang cuisine during these visits, encouraging her children to sample exotic foods, which were unfamiliar to them coming from the United States. As the wife of a husband who served as a member of the U.S. military, Carol Stull boasts a capacity for acclimation in challenging situations. Required to relocate her family on multiple occasions due to the nature of her husband’s work, Carol Stull approached the moves with a positive outlook, approaching challenges with a sense of resilience. This quality has enabled Carol Stull to pursue a wide array of educational endeavors and personal projects, inspiring her interest in a range of subjects, such as spirituality, religion, quantum physics, and cosmetology. Maintaining a commitment to philanthropy, Carol Stull opts to focus her charitable efforts on causes related to animal welfare. To this end, she provides donations to the Humane Society of the United States and North Shore Animal League America.
