Vice President/Physician at Lane Medical Group
Dr. Carole Lane is an accomplished Dermatologist and Echocardiographer with over 20 years experience in the medical field. Dr. Lane’s career has been shaped by a constant drive to be up-to-date with the newest technologies, practices, and theories that benefit her patients. She is constantly reading medical journals for current information and exhibits a genuine concern for her patients as real people with real problems that deserve the best care available. Dr. Lane is the Vice President/Physician for the Lane Medical Group, and the main thrust of her practice is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails. The largest area of this practice is undoubtedly the identification and surgical excision of skin cancer, a procedure that saves lives. In addition, Dr. Lane is an Echocardiographer who boasts 18 years of experience in the interpretation of Cardiac Echocardiography, heart disease, and vascular ultrasound studies that benefit the community of Monroe and surrounding Alabama counties. Dr. Lane is also the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Monroe County Hospital, where she engages in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical excision of skin cancers and other Dermatological neoplasms and conditions. Carole Lane received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was President of the Society for Physics Students and taught Physics Laboratory classes to students in the first quarters of Physics classes. Carole Lane received her M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, graduating in the top quarter of the class and tutoring students in Undergraduate Physics during the first two years of her medical studies. Dr. Lane regularly donates to the Skin Cancer Foundation, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Doctors without Borders, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Research Fund, and the Skin Disease Foundation. She is a member of the American Society of Dermatology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Laser Medicine, the Surgery Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Monroe County.

President of the Society for Physics Students I taught Physics Laboratory classes to students in the 1st the quarters of Physics classes. Graduated Cum Laude Majored in Physics and received minor degrees in Math and Chemistry while working my way through college. I Studied in the Heart Station for 3 months and was trained as an Echocardiographer. (ultrasound study of the heart)
