A widely experienced and multi-talented attorney, Mr. Charles R. Knight maintains expertise in a number of legal specialties, including litigation, securities law, employment law, international trade, lobbying, and governmental affairs. Currently, attorney Charles Knight utilizes his considerable abilities as Senior Counsel to the Pastore Law Group in Stamford, Connecticut. In addition to working with Pastore Law Group, from 2005 to 2008 Charles Knight served as General Counsel of Flight Safety Technologies, Inc. As General Counsel, Charles Knight managed international trade negotiations, patent litigation, and intellectual property license agreements. Attorney Charles Robert Knight also handled the company’s SEC reporting and compliance. Charles Knight joined Flight Safety Technologies after a short stint with Brown Raysman Law Firm. Before joining Brown Raysman, attorney Charles Robert Knight managed his own private practice for 12 years. As the head of his own firm, attorney Charles Knight litigated a variety of cases in both state and federal court-related discrimination legislation, including the Age Act, the Disabilities Act, and the ERISA employment law. During this period, Charles Knight also served as legal counsel to Abbott Labs for a patent royalty dispute involving the pharmaceutical drug Humira and as Environmental Coverage Counsel to The Hartford Insurance Company. Prior to starting his private practice, attorney Charles R. Knight served as Claim Counsel to the international insurance firm Aetna. With the company for 4 years, Charles Knight directly managed 200 attorneys and maintained oversight of more than 18,000 lawsuits. Charles Knight came to Aetna after serving as a Partner in the Indianapolis law firm Stewart & Irwin. Attorney Charles Knight’s first position in law was as General Counsel to the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns. In addition to his formal legal education from the Indiana University School of Law, attorney Charles Knight has also graduated from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. When he is not working, Mr. Knight enjoys creative writing and has had articles published in the Notre Dame Literary Magazine and the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine.
