After completing his Ph.D, Cherian Samuel joined the Observer Research Foundation in their US Studies Programme where he edited the ORF US Monitor, a weekly newsletter on the United States. The Programme was guided by Dr. C. Rajamohan, a noted strategic analyst, and currently Professor of Strategic Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include Indo-US Relations, US Domestic issues, and the Indian Diaspora in the United States
Cherian has a number of “firsts” to his credit; he was one of the first telemarketers in India, oen of the first radio jockeys and was also an Internet radio producer and presenter, and a content producer in the first wave of the Internet. He has also been a trained instructor at Inlingua, the Swiss based language school.

Cherian has picked up a varied set of skill sets along the way. Adept at using Google and other search engines for data mining, he is also proficient in a wide variety of multi-medial software.
