Since graduating from Saint Joseph’s College with his Bachelor of Science in Business, Chris Cappuccilli has been involved with company development and the debt collection industry. First involved with outside debt recovery firms, Chris Cappuccilli developed Brown & Joseph, Ltd. in 1996. Responding to his clients’ demand for help outside of traditional debt agency offerings, Chris Cappuccilli directed their requests to upper management. Chris Cappuccilli hoped to open up the company to address these needs, but when the higher-ups declined, he decided to found his own support team and client service policies. The result was Brown & Joseph, a “slow pay” collection receivables agency for businesses in several industries around the United States. As CEO, Chris Cappuccilli coordinates business operations, including consumer recovery services. In addition to balancing the company budget, Chris Cappuccilli instructs collection and debt training classes with clients and credit groups. Chris Cappuccilli employs a team of experts for his clients’ needs in the areas of quality control, credit collections, finance, and information technology, as well as business-building professionals in the transportation, staffing, manufacturing, advertising, and insurance industries. In just 13 years, Chris Cappuccilli brought Brown & Joseph to offices in 3 states and 5 international locations with 150 employees. Chris Cappuccilli was honored with an Internet business growth award from Cisco Systems in 2002. Outside of work, Chris Cappuccilli participates in and watches sports. In college, Chris Cappuccilli played football, and now, his favorite team is the Chicago Bears. Chris Cappuccilli continues to play flag football every fall season. In the summertime, Chris Cappuccilli plays 16-inch softball and follows the Chicago Cubs. When not practicing with his teams, Chris Cappuccilli enjoys the outdoors through activities like golfing, fishing, hunting, and camping. Every year, Chris Cappuccilli walks several miles as part of his effort to raise money for cancer and muscular dystrophy research efforts. Chris Cappuccilli has raised over $250,000, participating in Walk for the Cure events with the American Cancer Society and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
