Chris started out as a hybrid athlete geek—writing code for financial modeling and video-conferencing before he was 18. He then took off for an extended sabbatical in China, studying classical Chinese arts and Chinese language.

After returning to the US, Chris studied at St. John’s College—the Great Books school. Where he was lucky enough to indulge a curiousity in the history of math and science, philosophy, music, and comparative literature—all through the use of original texts.

These days, Chris is the President of Products at Mobile Commons, which started off as a company dedicated to making it much easier for people to act on their civic ideals. We’re still up to good works, but we’re expanding into other areas where people can use their phone as a notification device and a remote control.
