Chris Nordyke was born to Melvin (now goes by Doug) and Gloria Nordyke, high school sweethearts. More or less Chris had a very priviledged upbringing compared with 99% of the rest of the world. Parents are still married- another rarity.
His folks always pushed him to try new things and provided numerous opportunities to spread his wings. Through his childhood and on through high school, Chris excelled in front of people, performing in musicals, dramas, and even singing the national anthem at an OSU gymnastics tournament.
Chris’ passion for relationship and community have led him through two different college majors, 2 different successful start-ups and now as a State Farm agent.
Besides the for-profit activities Chris enjoys, he also likes creating new experiences for people. He helped found an entrepreneur’s forum called SpeakerLunch where he brings in successful CEO’s and serial entrepreneurs to come talk to emerging business leaders each month.
He also helped found and currently is president of Young Professionals of Corvallis.
